Mentally Healthy WA

Chevron Australia is partnering with Curtin University's Mentally Healthy WA to improve mental health across Western Australia, targeting schools with a focus in the Pilbara, including Aboriginal communities.

Our partnership aims to increase the number of Western Australians that engage in mentally healthy activities by expanding the reach of the 'Act Belong Commit' positive mental health promotion campaign.

Chevron Australia’s partnership with Mentally Healthy WA aims to reinforce the importance of both mental and physical health – with a focus on the Pilbara area and encompassing Aboriginal communities.

Through this partnership we are delivering three programs aimed at preventing the onset of mental health problems:

  • Providing resources in the Pilbara to enhance delivery of the 'Act Belong Commit' campaign
  • Developing an Aboriginal mental health promotion campaign in the West Pilbara with a focus on Karratha and Roebourne
  • Creating mentally healthy schools by taking the 'Act Belong Commit' campaign into Western Australian high schools, at no cost to program participants
