Education Partnerships

Empowering the Leaders of Tomorrow

Encouraging participation in science, technology, education and mathematics (STEM)

Chevron Australia partners with organisations that strive to achieve equitable access to quality education and enhance future employment opportunities through developing local talent and skills.

We invest in primary, secondary and tertiary education programs designed to encourage participation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related areas of study, which could foster a future interest in the energy industry.

We also support programs with a focus on encouraging and supporting women to enter the industry.

Our Education Partnerships include:

A science education program inspiring students to consider a career in the energy industry and supporting teachers in the Pilbara to deliver engaging science-based programs.

The Smith Family

Supporting children from disadvantaged backgrounds develop vital life skills and stay engaged in their education, helping them to reach their full potential, building a pathway to future employment.

Onslow School

The Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project has partnered with Onslow Primary School to enhance the delivery of the school’s education programs.

Onslow Kids Kitchen Garden

The Onslow Kids Kitchen Garden program enhances learning experiences at the school through tactile experiences and provides local kids with a chance to connect with and learn about nature.

V Swans Active Education Program

Sport is being used as an effective tool in improving health, education and social outcomes for Onslow's young people. The year-round program delivers community activities in the town through a locally based team.

Powering Careers in Energy

Developed in consultation with the Western Australian School Curriculum and Standards Authority, this program aims to increase energy literacy in schools, improve students' skills and training outcomes and helps develop the future energy industry.

Women in Engineering

The Chevron-supported, Women in Engineering program equips women with the foundation skills and confidence to gain employment in the resources industry or pursue higher level engineering qualifications.

University Partnerships

We partner with universities around the globe to foster academic excellence, grow research capability, build relationships and provide scholarships. Our aim is to strengthen Perth as an energy industry centre of excellence in the region.
