Jeff Brubaker is the gorgon development director and a member of the Australasia business unit management team. Brubaker is responsible for the successful delivery of the AUD$55 billion Gorgon Project, one of the world’s largest natural gas projects.
He joined the Gorgon Project in 2010 as the Downstream General Manager, overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant on Barrow Island.
Prior to joining the Gorgon Project, Brubaker managed the $4 billion Tombua Landana Project in Angola, Africa and has served as PRC Project Director with oversight on Europe, Middle East and West African projects. Brubaker has been with Chevron for more than 35 years and has a wealth of experience in the upstream oil and gas business, primarily focused on major capital projects as well as all facets of the upstream business.
Brubaker received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1979 and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from California Lutheran University in 1984. He joined Getty Oil (a company acquired by Texaco) in 1979 as a Facilities Engineer and since then has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in Australia, England and the United States during his Chevron career.
