Active support for Australian industry participation is one of the Wheatstone's Project's core business policies.

The Wheatstone Project is utilising the vendor identification services of the Industry Capability Network (ICN) of Western Australia and the  Project Connect  website to provide qualified information on Australian suppliers and to advertise upcoming procurement and contract opportunities.

Vendor Briefing Breakfast

In partnership with the Western Australian Chamber of Commerce (CCIWA) and the Industry Capability Network (ICNWA) a recent Wheatstone vendor briefing was held in Perth. 

More than 1100 people attended the event - setting a new record for attendance at a Chevron-supplier briefing. 

Minister for Commerce; Science & Innovation; and Housing, Bill Marmion, officially opened the milestone event which was also attended by other senior government officials, Joint Venture Participants, representatives of the Shire of Ashburton and the Thalanyji.

Potential suppliers were given an up-date on the project and some of the opportunities it would provide.
