Since Chevron began producing oil on Barrow Island in 1964, our efforts have helped prevent the introduction of invasive animal and plant species on this Class A Nature Reserve, Now, as we construct key elements of our Gorgon Liquefied Natural Gas Project on the island, Chevron remains committed to the stringent environmental management practices that allow energy and the environment to coexist on Barrow Island.
