Chevron supports the work of the Pilbara Wildlife Carers to treat and care for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife so that they may be returned to their natural environment.
The organisation’s carergivers are volunteer wildlife rehabilitators, registered with the Department of Environment and Conservation.
They participate in awareness campaigns to educate the community to humanely care for wildlife should the need arise. They conduct school visits and talks, hold community awareness days at local shopping centres and make presentations onsite for companies.
The Pilbara Wildlife Carers provide care for all native Australian animal species including: kangaroos, birds such as eagles and pelicans, echidnas, bats and other endangered species.
