Beyond the Beaker is a touring program designed to inspire year 8 to10 students to pursue careers in science, mathematics, engineering and technology.
Initiated by Chevron Australia and Scitech, it is a two-part program delivered free of charge to schools throughout Western Australia.
A hands-on science centre with exhibitions, programs and services designed for people of all ages, Scitech prides itself on making science an inspiring and exciting experience.

The first part of the Beyond the Beaker program consists of a multimedia careers presentation led by a team of young, dynamic science graduates exploring exciting career possibilities in their chosen field of work.
Participating students use audience response systems to vote for the careers they would like to know more about – before being entertained by short interviews.
Teachers can nominate particularly motivated students to participate in an optional climate change workshop, to encourage scientific thinking and critical analysis of real science scenarios.
