Geoff Strong

General Manager Wheatstone Development

Chevron Australia Pty Ltd

Geoff Strong is the general manager Wheatstone Development for Chevron Australia. He has overall accountability for the Chevron-operated Wheatstone LNG and domestic gas project.

Prior to his current assignment, Geoff was general manager for Venture Gas with responsibility for Chevron Australia’s exploration activities and non operated interests in the North West Shelf Venture, Malampaya and Browse gas projects.

Geoff joined Chevron in 1981 in California as a design engineer for various downstream, midstream and upstream projects. Geoff subsequently held positions in supply, trading, marketing, strategic planning and upstream asset management. He has worked and lived in Kazakhstan and Indonesia on Chevron’s Tengiz and Duri Steam Flood projects.

Geoff has a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering with Honors from the University of Illinois. He also was a registered professional mechanical engineer in California.
